Kenyan coffee farmer in the highlands
Our Story

Born in Nandi County. Built for the world.

Coffee is more than a commodity. It is a story of people, place, heritage and purpose — and at Savannah Bean, that story shapes everything we do.

Meet Our Founder

— Rooted in the highlands.

My connection to coffee begins at home, in the fertile highlands of Nandi County, Kenya. Raised by farming parents, I grew up seeing the dedication, patience and hard work that go into every harvest. I also witnessed how farmers’ earnings do not always reflect their toil. Those experiences inspired my commitment to helping farming communities receive fair value for their work.

With a background in business development, international trade and market expansion, I bring together my professional experience and my farming roots to connect Kenya’s exceptional coffee with global buyers. Transparency, trust and quality guide everything I do.

Today, I work alongside farming communities, cooperatives and washing stations to bring premium Kenyan specialty coffee to the world. My vision is to build lasting relationships that create opportunities for producers, deliver exceptional coffee to buyers and ensure that the people behind every cup share in its value.

Meet Our Founder

— A journey inspired by coffee.

Natecho grew up in a middle class household in Nairobi, a city that loves its coffee. Her first real encounter with the crop came during school holidays at her maternal grandmother Rispah’s home, where several coffee bushes grew. There she saw where a cup begins: on the branch, in the red cherry, in the hands of the person who tends it.

Her work later took her around the world, and wherever she went she tried the local cup. Her curiosity grew. In 2022, a friend from Uganda introduced her to the coffee trade. In 2026, through a divine connection, she met Judy Jemutai. Their love of coffee was instant, a match made in heaven, and it has been a journey ever since. Together they built Savannah Bean Exporters, a woman led company and the home of Naked Roast Coffee.

Natecho is passionate about transforming communities, one household at a time. That is why Savannah Bean works closely with farmers, not just taking their coffee to the world but making sure their lives change for the better.

The Story of Naked Roast Coffee

Great coffee has nothing to hide.

Every coffee cherry wears layers: the red skin, the sweet pulp, the parchment and the silverskin. For Naked Roast Coffee, we peel them back one by one until nothing is left but the bean itself. Only then do we roast it. No cover. No disguise. Just the true taste of Kenyan coffee, exactly as nature made it.

That is why we call it Naked Roast.

It begins with premium Arabica AA, prized for its large, uniform beans. Each lot is single origin and hand-picked, so only the best cherries make the journey from the farm to your cup. We source directly from farming communities across Kenya’s key coffee-growing regions, supporting farmers with training to improve quality and yields season after season.

Then comes the roast. We offer two signature roasts: medium roast and dark roast for those who prefer a deeper, bolder flavour. Choose roasted beans to grind fresh or ground coffee, ready for your pot, press or machine. Whatever you choose, every cup is made to be savoured.

Savannah Bean Exporters Ltd is the home of Naked Roast Coffee. We are a woman-led Kenyan company built on three pillars: people, environment and economy. Behind every bag is a farmer who has been fairly paid and supported through training, alongside our commitment to donating new coffee seedlings to aspiring coffee farmers.

Every cup is more than great coffee. It is a way to support farming communities, encourage sustainable growing and help create new opportunities.
